All documents, forms, photos and videos are time & date stamped, GPS stamped, encrypted to the highest level so they cannot be tampered with, and stored in a central repository. All information relating to a single structure or worklot is stored as an evidence pack under a specific ID number.

United Utilities can produce a complete digital evidence pack for any pipe within 4 seconds. They use this to demonstrate to the Regulators that their Outcome Delivery initiatives have been met.

In addition, United have a much more efficient, accurate and secure way of reporting on progress of construction against their delivery schedule and on key issues like environment, quality and safety.

Accelerated workflow with eviFile

Site inspections, quality referrals and other site tasks can be incorporated into eviFile’s workflow system. The results can be completed on handheld devices and stored as part of an evidence pack.

$2 million saved so far on one project

Balfour Beatty use eviFile for Digital Progressive Assurance in their rail electrification project. In this project, every use of the system is securely captured, time and date stamped along with project and user details, geographical location and data about the device’s orientation.

Thanks to eviFile, Balfour Beatty has saved over two million dollars on this project so far. Upon completion, they will only do a soft copy handover to Network Rail of all the digital files.

For Operations and Maintenance, Drax Power use eviFile to manage the non-destructive testing process for the operation and maintenance of their coal powered boilers.

Integrations with eviFile

EviFile is an e2e digital solution. A flexible API layer ensures 2-way integration with BIM, Primavera P6 and existing applications and processes.

BIM

BIM models are accessible in the field via a browser. With BIM down at site level, there is a 2 way flow of information between the BIM models and the events occurring on site in eviFile. Points of interest and asset information flow from the BIM model into eviFile. Information captured in the field will flow back into the BIM model from eviFile, thereby enabling the digital twin.

Primavera P6

By integrating the P6 planning system with site data, the planning system is no longer static but is dynamically updated with site information by eviFile throughout the project.

EviFile also captures the actual hours spent on each activity, and this can then be compared with the planned hours.
